Fine Line Again

Another visit to Fine Line, another blog post. Some wonderful new dishes from our visit last night:

• Duck leg with mole sauce, black beans, and totsoi. The duck was tender, not too fatty, and the mole was superb. Totsoi is an Asian leafy green with a strong pungent flavor. Here, it was sauteéd and had a punch of lemony zing to balance the richness of the mole.
  
• Apple harvest salad of friseé with wonderfully aromatic maple smoked bacon bits and a rich tangy-sweet maple dressing.
  
• Flourless chocolate-nut torte. This was amazing. Absolutely amazing. The dense base of fine dark chocolate is lightened with toasted nuts and warm spices. Primal ingredients raised to a height of refinement. What a fantastic new addition to the dessert menu! A single piece goes a long way.
