If you're out doing some holiday shopping in downtown Ithaca today, please stop by and see me at the Holiday Artists' Market organized by the Community Arts Partnership. Sat. Dec. 10, 11 am to 5 pm in the Women's Community Building on the corner of Cayuga and Seneca.
Among other things, I'll have a preview of my February 2012 show at the CAP Artspace, which will be based on my new embroidered fractal drawings. The picture to the left shows an experimental 3D rendition of these drawings. I'm planning to do a large-scale version for the show.
And below is another pair of 2D drawings with both sides shown. The stitch I used creates more of a starburst effect than my previous ones. I'm not sure which side is front and which is back....
